2018 marks the bicentennial of “Frankenstein,” Mary Shelley’s haunting novella about a young scientist who, with the best of intentions, assembles a superhuman creature and brings it to life, only to be horrified at the result.
To commemorate this now internationally famous novel, Princeton is hosting a “Frankenread,” a three-evening reading by 71 participants, including Princeton students, faculty, staff and residents. The event is organized by Professor of English Susan Wolfson, who shares five fast facts about "Frankenstein" in the video above.
The reading commences on Halloween and continues over the next two evenings, Nov. 1 and 2, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. in the Chancellor Green Rotunda. Princeton’s Frankenread is free and open to the public.
