At Princeton University’s 271st Commencement on Tuesday, June 5, the day began with staff members prepping the outdoor site, graduates donning their caps and robes, and the orchestra tuning up for the procession.
As seen in the video above, graduates celebrated the occasion in high spirits with their families and friends, basking in the sun, taking photographs, listening and watching the ceremony unfold, and enjoying their bittersweet final moments as students.
In closing his address, President Christopher L. Eisgruber said to the graduates: "I take pride in your excellence and your diversity, and I am excited about the contributions you will make in the years ahead. ... All of us on this platform are thrilled to be a part of your celebration. We applaud your achievements. We send our best wishes as you begin the adventures that lie ahead, and we look forward to welcoming you back to this campus on future visits."
