Events will celebrate University of Tokyo strategic partnership

Princeton University will welcome University of Tokyo officials for "University of Tokyo Day: A Celebration of Our Partnership" on Thursday, Oct. 23 in Jones Hall, Room 202. The University of Tokyo is one of Princeton's strategic partnership institutions. The schedule for the day is as follows:

  • 9:30 a.m. Opening remarks by Princeton President Christopher L. Eisgruber and University of Tokyo President Junichi Hamada.
  • 10 a.m. Keynote speeches by Princeton Provost David Lee and University of Tokyo Executive Vice President Masako Egawa.
  • 10:40 a.m. Presentations on Princeton and University of Tokyo strategic partnership projects.

Princeton to open administrative center in Beijing .

Princeton University is planning to open an administrative center on the campus of Tsinghua University in Beijing to support faculty, students and staff studying and conducting research in China. The Princeton Center at Tsinghua is expected to open in early 2014 once preparations to operate a University office in China are finalized.
