Jan-Werner Müller, an associate professor of politics at Princeton, has been elected a fellow of Britain's Royal Historical Society.
Fellowships are awarded to those who have made "an original contribution to historical scholarship in the form of significant published work," according to the society.
Müller, a Princeton faculty member since 2005, specializes in political theory, the history of modern political thought and European politics and society. He is the author of "A Dangerous Mind: Carl Schmitt in Postwar European Thought," "Another Country: German Intellectuals, Unification and National Identity" and "Constitutional Patriotism." He currently is writing a history of political thought in 20th-century Europe.
The Royal Historical Society includes nearly 3,000 fellows and members from around the world who are engaged in researching and presenting public history.
