Students, faculty, staff, alumni, University trustees and officers, and representatives from the broader higher education community will gather on the front lawn of Nassau Hall at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22, to celebrate the installation of Christopher L. Eisgruber as Princeton's 20th president.

The ceremonial installation of Christopher L. Eisgruber as Princeton's 20th president will take place outdoors as planned today beginning at 1 p.m. The weather forecast calls for a sunny sky over campus wih a high temperature of about 70 degrees.

Pre-read speaks volumes about Princeton .

Before they arrive on campus, Princeton freshmen are asked to complete their first assignment — reading the Princeton Pre-read, a book chosen each year by Princeton’s president as an introduction to the intellectual life of the University. Right now, if everyone is on schedule, the 1,300-plus members of the Class of 2019 have finished "Whistling Vivaldi: How Stereotypes Affect Us and What We Can Do" by social psychologist Claude Steele.

The trustees of Princeton University have scheduled a ceremony to publicly intall Christopher L. Eisgruber as president at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Princeton University Bonfire 2013 .

For the second straight year, Princeton celebrated football victories over Harvard and Yale with a bonfire, a tradition that goes back to the late 1800s. President Christopher L. Eisgruber, football coach Bob Surace, players and others addressed the crowd huddled around Cannon Green on Sunday evening, Nov. 24. Under the supervision of town of Princeton firefighters, a pyre of pallets was lit and blazed brightly as students cheered.
