Conference FeesThe fees for the 2006 Princeton Model Congress are:
There is no fee for advisors. Charges for students are $80 per participant. Checks should be made out to Princeton Model Congress. To insure timely processing of checks, please arrange for all delegate fees to be paid in a single check. For delegations in which each delegate is paying for him/herself, this request may involve assigning one person to collect all delegate fees and then issue a single check for the total amount. This will greatly simplify our bookkeeping and lead to higher efficiency. All fees are non-refundable.Description of Registration ProcessOnline preregistration will open on April 4 and our limited conference space will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please preregister early to reserve your delegation's space. Preregistrations received after the conference fills will be placed on a waiting list and notified by October 10 if they will be offered space at the conference. Your attendance is not guaranteed until we receive a Delegation Confirmation Form and Delegation Fee. We use the Delegation Confirmation Forms (to be received by October 4) to determine the size of our conference and the number and type of "committee slots." We must also select participants for our Special Programs (Presidential Election, Cabinet, Supreme Court, Press Corps) at this time to allow those applicants who are not selected to be placed on congressional committees. We understand that the October 4 deadline comes very early in the academic year. Nevertheless, this deadline allows schools the most flexibility in assigning delegates to committee slots and is essential to the efficiency of the registration process. After making Special Program assignments, a set of reserved committee slots will be assigned to each delegation. These assignments are distributed to ensure a fair allotment of spots in popular committees, and they will not be changed for any reason. Delegations will then be responsible for assigning particular delegates to particular slots and recording assignments on the Delegation Roster Form on the web. This system gives delegates more time to prepare their legislation and allows advisors greater discretion in assigning delegates to committee slots. We plan to make available these committee assignment slots to delegations on the web as soon as we receive their registration materials. Those schools registering on or near the October 4 deadline can expect to receive their committee assignments by October 11 at the latest. As the delegation rosters (on the web) freeze on Tuesday, October 18, delegations should plan on holding a meeting on a date between October 11-18 to fill their committee slots. Registration FormsOnce you register for the conference using the Online Registration Wizard to provide your school's contact information, you will have access to all the forms needed to complete the registration process through the Online Registration Center. More information about each of the forms you need to complete is available there. |
