Previous: PROPERTY MATERIAL DEFINE Type_name Nvals
This command is used to define general material properties.
manm | = | name of material, used at later references |
realn | = | material data as specified for the chosen FE-program (up to 21 values) |
This command is used to define non-standard material properties. A common usage
would be for the definition of anisotropic materials or fluid properties. The real values are
transferred
and interpreted in the relevant FEM-program interface. The interpretation of such
data depends entirely on the interface program.
To assign material properties to a certain part of the structure use the command PROPERTY ATTACH.
Examples:
Define a material MAT1 with general properties 1. 2. ... 9.
Applies a material called RUBB. The 10th value and 11th values are set to 3.333 and 1.286 respectively. If this is a new material then all other values are set = 0.0 and if it is a modification to an existing material then all other values are unchanged.
