PROPERTY MATERIAL

      

This command is used to define or redefine material properties. In addition to the standard FEMGEN neutral environment material property commands there are generalised commands to allow FE program specific material properties to be utilised.

PROPERTY MATERIAL has the following sub-commands

2.14.6.1 PROPERTY MATERIAL DEFINE - Used for model archiving purposes only; do not use.

2.14.6.2 PROPERTY MATERIAL GENERAL - Define general material properties.

2.14.6.3 PROPERTY MATERIAL MAT - Define material properties.

Additional items may also appear in the PROPERTY MATERIAL menu depending on the current FE environment (that has been selected with the PROPERTY FE command or by an environment variable); these items allow external files and predefined material names to be referenced. For more details refer to the specific interface manual.

FEMGEN material names cannot be re-used for a different class of material type unless an existing definition is deleted and then re-defined.
