Generation of Element Group Numbers

When processing the topology, a group number is assigned to particular element types. These group numbers can then be used within FEMVIEW to select a particular part of the model e.g. the FEMVIEW command `SET APPEND GROUPS 6 16' would make all CONROD and CTRIA3 elements members of the current set. To identify the position of the various element types used in a model the FEMVIEW command `LABEL GROUPS' may be used. Table 1 shows the group number which will be assigned to the various NASTRAN elements.
