Elements Processed

A summary of the NASTRAN elements that can be processed by the interface program is given in Table 3.1.

During the processing any degenerate element found, e.g. a 16 noded CHEXA is converted to its low-order form. That is the mid-side nodes are removed. Any elements so altered are listed in the Monitor file. There is also an option which converts high order elements to their low order form so that principal stress data at the vertices can be extracted.
