A technology-focused committee of the New Jersey Legislature held a hearing on blockchain technology Thursday, April 26, at the Princeton Innovation Center Biolabs.
The Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee discussed bills that would advance and promote the development of blockchain technology, which is used to facilitate the exchange of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
The committee is chaired by Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker, a Democrat representing the 16th District who also heads the Office of Communications and Public Outreach at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.
