On day two of the 2017 Princeton-Fung Global Forum, Tuesday, March 21, in Berlin, policy experts, journalists and academics continued conversations about democracy in the digital age.
Thirteen Princeton students attended the Fung Forum and helped University staff with behind-the-scenes responsibilities of producing the conference. Several students talked about the experience on the last day of the event in a Facebook Live interview on the Princeton University Facebook page.
Fung Forum panels and keynote addresses covering a wide range of topics related to digital privacy, rights and surveillance led to a final discussion hosted by David E. Sanger of the New York Times in which panelists looked to the future of safety and liberty in an increasingly digital world.
At the end of the two-day global conference, Princeton University President Christopher L. Eisgruber thanked participants and shared a final thought, saying that if we use critical thinking, liberty and democracy can survive the digital age.
