“International Eye,” an exhibition of photographs from around the globe taken by Princeton students, is being shown around campus this semester. Princeton University students are showcasing their many opportunities to experience life abroad through “International Eye,” an exhibition of photographs taken while participating in international study, internships, service and research.
The Office of International Programs(Link is external), in collaboration with the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS)(Link is external), the Program in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies(Link is external), and the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures(Link is external), sponsors the annual competition to select photos for the exhibition. A sampling of the photographs may be viewed in the video below.
The 2014 photographs were judged by photographer Emmet Gowin(Link is external), professor emeritus of visual arts(Link is external) in the Lewis Center for the Arts(Link is external), in seven categories: People, Abstraction, Cityscape/Architecture, Nature, Landscape, Window on Eurasia and PIIRS Global Seminar, highlighting the summer study abroad experience offered by PIIRS.
