Faculty members submit resignations

The following faculty members have submitted their resignations:

  • Manuel Llinás, associate professor of molecular biology and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics, to accept a position at Pennsylvania State University, effective July 1, 2013. 
  • Bradley Simpson, assistant professor of history and international affairs, to accept a position at the University of Connecticut, effective Sept. 1, 2013.

The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation has selected Manuel Llinas to receive a 2006 Beckman Young Investigators Award, a program that provides research support to the nation's most promising young faculty members in the chemical and life sciences.
