Documentary film on returning from combat to be shown

A pre-release screening of a documentary film about a soldier's experience returning home from combat, "Hell and Back Again" by Danfung Dennis, will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, at the Friend Center, Room 101.

'Specks of Dust,' a documentary by Princeton University junior Azza Cohen and Class of 2014 graduate Shaina Watrous, will have its premiere screening at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in McCormick Hall, Room 101 and at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in the James M. Stewart '32 Theater at 185 Nassau St. The documentary follows the lives of individuals fighting for justice for the survivors of human trafficking in Varanasi, India.

Holiday outreach initiatives planned .

Members of the University community will have the opportunity to share the holiday spirit through a series of community service initiatives and special events planned for December and January.

Princeton University Commencement to be held May 31 .

Members of the news media who wish to attend any of Princeton University's 2011 graduation ceremonies Sunday through Tuesday, May 29-31, must contact the University's Office of Communications no later than 12 p.m. Monday, May 23, to request credentials.

'Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry' documentary to be screened .

In advance of the anticipated Wednesday, Oct. 10, visit to the Princeton campus by Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei, the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs will host a screening of the newly released documentary "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry" at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, in both Dodds Auditorium and Bowl 016, Robertson Hall. The film's director, Alison Klayman, will participate in a Q&A following the screening.

'Life's wisdom in unlikely places': Documentary features University janitor's efforts to help others .

From 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each weekday, Josue Lajeunesse is one of Princeton University's 220 Building Services janitors. But off campus, Lajeunesse is a taxi driver, a father, a philanthropist, a community organizer and now the subject of a documentary film.

Some 20,000 alumni and their families began arriving on campus Thursday, May 29, to reconnect with old friends, sample intellectual fare and march in the P-rade as part of Princeton's Reunions activities.
