The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has recognized Princeton's Office of Development with three national awards in 2010 for its implementation of technology and new media.
The office's development information systems staff received two gold awards for Tiger Tracks, an online information system for fundraising volunteers. The system allows volunteers to access up-to-date fundraising information and share updates with staff members in development. Tiger Tracks received top honors in the categories of "advancement services programs" and "fundraising programs: technology applications and creative use of new media."
The development communications staff received the silver award for Princeton Pause, a monthly e-mail greeting that features short multimedia pieces highlighting campus life. The ongoing series of video vignettes was cited for creative use of technology and new media. Princeton Pause engages alumni, parents and friends through e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. It reaches approximately 65,000 readers a month.
CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals who work in alumni relations, communications, fundraising, marketing and other areas. Its membership includes more than 3,400 colleges, universities, independent elementary and secondary schools, and educational associates in 61 countries around the world.
