Two Princeton faculty members are among the 187 artists, scholars
and scientists selected from some 3,000 applicants for 2006 Guggenheim
Fellowships.
Diana Fuss, professor of English, earned an award for research on a project titled "Poetry and the Art of Resuscitation." Daniel Trueman, assistant professor of music, will receive support for music composition.
Each Guggenheim Fellow, appointed on the basis of distinguished
achievement in the past and exceptional promise for future
accomplishment, receives a grant to support his or her work. The John
Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation selected this year's recipients
for awards totaling $7.5 million.
