A variety of activities intended to promote cross-cultural
understanding are planned for Princeton's 31st annual International
Festival, set for Friday, April 22.
From 2 to 6 p.m. on the 100 level of the Frist Campus Center, cultural
tables representing several countries will be on display, and dishes
from around the globe will be served as part of a food festival.
A cultural and fashion show will follow from 8 to 10 p.m. beneath a
tent on Frist's south lawn. Bringing together performing groups and
individuals from campus, the event will showcase international dance
and music.
Leading up to the festival is an international film festival, which
started on Wednesday, April 13, and continues through Thursday, April
21. The remaining films will be: "L'Auberge Espagnole" (France, 2003)
at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the Wilson Blackbox Theater; and
"Monsoon Wedding" (India, 2001) at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in the
Dodd Hall courtyard (302 Frist in case of rain). For more information,
view the festival program.
The festival is organized by the Consortium of International Student Organizations and sponsored by several University departments.
