After providing flu shots for more than 5,000 students and employees, Princeton University Health Services no longer has vaccines available as of Friday, Dec. 12. Employees who have made appointments will receive their shots, but no new appointments are being accepted.
"Between those who attended our two FluFest programs and visitors to University Health Services, we were able to provide immunizations for students who were considered at high risk and for many employees," said Daniel Silverman, Princeton's chief medical officer. "Any employees who still wish to obtain a flu shot should contact their primary care physician."
Due to warnings that this flu season might be one of the worst in recent history, University Health Services had urged campus community members to be immunized as a protective measure prior to the winter holiday travel season.
