Veteran Princeton University administrator Michael McKay has been promoted to vice president for facilities , effective July 1.
McKay, general manager of plant and services in the facilities department for the past 10 years, has been a Princeton staff member since 1977. He will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of the University's physical plant, and in the planning, design and construction of capital projects.
"In his more than 25 years at Princeton, Mike McKay has earned the confidence and respect of his colleagues in facilities, members of the senior administration, other members of the faculty and staff, local officials and the trustees," said President Shirley M. Tilghman. "We are delighted to be able to promote him to the vice presidency, to welcome him to the cabinet and to look to him for leadership in carrying out the many important responsibilities that are assigned to the offices that comprise the facilities department."
