A lecture on "Jihad, Just War, Holy War" is set for 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in McCosh 10.
Carl Brown, the Garrett Professor in Foreign Affairs Emeritus and professor of Near Eastern studies emeritus, will trace the justification for going to war and the proper conduct in warfare found in the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious traditions. He is the author of the book, "Religion and State: The Muslim Approach to Politics."
