The next workshop of the::sense::archive Humanities Council Working Group, WET::DRY::STITCH, will be held in Haverford College’s VCAM 105 Presentation Lounge and Kitchen on March 18, 7 to 9 p.m.!

Trinidad-based artist, Shannon Alonzo, will lead participants through a multi-sensory, participatory workshop about washing, mark-making, and how hands think. Shannon Alonzo is an interdisciplinary artist focusing primarily on drawing, sculpture, and performance. Her practice explores themes of collective belonging, place attachment, and the significance of carnival ritual to the Caribbean consciousness. During the workshop, we will be working with materials Shannon is preparing for us. If you are traveling from Princeton, let us know if you would like to reserve a spot in the group car. the::sense::archive was founded by Monica Huerta, assistant professor of English and American Studies at Princeton and Ava Shirazi, assistant professor of classics and visual culture, arts, and media (VCAM) faculty fellow at Haverford College.
