ψ Series: Professor Sam Wang, Psilocybin action on learning mechanisms and neuronal growth
Sam Wang is a professor of neuroscience here at Princeton Neuroscience Institute. In this seminar he will be presenting on a new research project, investigating how psilocybin (the active compound in psychedelic mushrooms) influences learning mechanisms and neuronal growth. His research focuses on how brains learn from sensory experience, in adulthood and development, with relevance for autism. His lab is particularly curious about the cerebellum’s role in cognition and social thought processes.
