The new Princeton University Empower conference strives to broaden opportunities for academic entrepreneurs from different historically underrepresented groups. This first conference in the series, Empower 2021, will focus on Black entrepreneurs from throughout academia, bringing together national thought-leaders to share actionable knowledge and tools that can help transform university discoveries into companies and ventures that advance societal and economic progress.

In the spirit of "moving forward," Day 2 of Empower 2021 will also feature a number of roundtable discussions that will allow attendees to engage with each other in an intimate virtual setting to further explore some of the topics discussed previously during the conference and to discuss how we might come together as a community to address access and funding challenges.

We will capture these "calls to action" and plan to continue the conversations in the future to address the key points raised during these roundtable discussions.
