Tour the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory
Get a behind the scenes look at a national laboratory where scientists are creating “a star on Earth” as a future energy source on a tour of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). Most tours now include a visit to PPPL’s National Spherical Torus Experiment-Upgrade (NSTX-U).
PPPL offers free public tours led by an engineer or physicist on the first and third Friday of most months at 10 a.m., at 100 Stellarator Road, Princeton, New Jersey. The next tours are on Feb. 16, March 2 and March 16. You must pre-register at https://pppl.edu.185r.net/Event/page2.php?s=304&e=6 to attend. Go to http://www.pppl.gov/about/tours or email tours@pppl.gov for more information. Group tours for school groups and groups of 10 or more people are also available.
