Please join the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students on Monday, March 12 at 7:30pm for an evening with award-winning filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (“mother!,” “Black Swan,” “Requiem for a Dream”) as he presents an advance screening of his latest project for National Geographic: ONE STRANGE ROCK, which looks to unearth the extraordinary story of our planet. A Q&A will follow the viewing. The event, which will be held in Richardson Auditorium, is free and open to the public.
Tickets will be available beginning on Wednesday, March 7, at 12 noon, at the University Ticketing office in the Frist Campus Center or online at https://tickets.princeton.edu while supplies last. Ticket distribution will continue during normal business hours. For those unable to obtain tickets in advance, there will be a wait line at the event.
On Monday, March 26 at 10/9c, the 10-part cinematic event series, hosted by Academy Award®-nominated actor Will Smith (“Ali,” “Pursuit of Happyness,” “Men in Black I, II, III”), explores the fragility and wonder of planet Earth, a curiously calibrated speck of a planet in the harsh universe. Smith contemplates these questions and guides viewers on a full-sensory, unprecedented exploration, bolstered by an elite group of eight astronauts who provide their unique perspectives and relate personal memoirs of the planet seen from a distance.
