Anonymous Brown Bodies: The Productive Power of a Deadly Border

Nicholas De Genova most recently held a permanent appointment as Reader in Urban Geography in the Department of Geography at King¿s College London, where he was the Director of the Cities Research Group and then the Director of a research group on Spatial Politics. His research interests include the politics of immigration, race and citizenship, the securitization of human mobility, and the experiences of migrant labor and borders. He is the author of numerous journal articles and book chapters, and his books include The Borders of ¿Europe¿: Autonomy of Migration, Tactics of Bordering (editor, 2017) and Working the Boundaries: Race, Space, and ¿Illegality¿ in Mexican Chicago (2005).
