Housing and Meals
Students will live in the Bao Khanh Hotel in the old downtown Hoan Kiem District, where they will experience daily Vietnamese culture. The hotel is located near beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and many restaurants. The rooms are air conditioned and have a TV, mini-refrigerator, and Internet access. A complimentary breakfast is served daily.

Field Trips
Most weekends will be dedicated to field trips. Possible destinations include Hue, the Imperial City that was destroyed during the 1968 Tet offensive and rebuilt; the ancient capital of Hoi An; Ha Long Bay, the setting for the film, Indochine; Saigon; and a service field trip with the Youth Union to a rural project. In Hanoi, visits will be arranged to Ho Chi Minh's home and his mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Confucian "Van Mieu" (Temple of Literature), and the many historic museums and art galleries.
