About the Program

In 2008, the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) will offer three Princeton Global Seminars: in Krakow at Jagiellonian University (June 16–July 25); in Istanbul at Koç University (June 23–August 1); and for a second time, in Hanoi at Vietnam National University (June 6–July 18).

Each seminar, open to 12–15 freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, is designed to provide students with new opportunities and incentives to explore the international dimensions of their academic interests. It is led by one to two faculty who have created a unique program of study that can only be fully experienced  by traveling to the city that is at the heart of its subject matter. Daily lectures by seminar faculty and guests, daily language classes, weekend excursions to sites relevant to the course, and community service make up the course prospectus.

Admission to the seminars is through an application and interview.
