Housing and Meals
While in São Salvador da Bahia, students will stay at the Tropical da Bahia hotel near the historical center of Salvador. The hotel is located near main attractions including churches, museums, theatres, shopping, and beaches. The rooms are air-conditioned and have cable TV and individual safes. While in Rio de Janeiro, students will share double rooms at the Monsieur le Blond Apart Hotel in the trendy neighborhood of Leblon. The rooms are air-conditioned and have cable TV, fully equipped mini-kitchens and individual safes.
Excursions
Afternoons and weekends will be dedicated to excursions. Possible destinations for these guided group excursions include the imperial city of Petropolis, botanical gardens, coffee farms, Vale do Paraiba, Parati sugar cane plantations, Floresta da Tijuca, and the Bay of Guanahara.
