 Synopsis

Julian is an orphan who has been adopted by the rich Chen family, and attends a prestigious university with the family’s son Brendan. Brendan leads a lavish life but is very generous to Julian. One spring day, Brendan suffers from an asthma attack and asks Julian to bring him his inhaler. But Julian, with the inhaler in his hands, hesitates…

Brendan dies from the attack, and Julian becomes the Chens’ only son and heir. He graduates from medical school and becomes a successful doctor. Meanwhile, he has left his kind but poor girlfriend Hailey and married Brendan’s beautiful fiancée Maggie, who comes from a powerful and prosperous family. Everything seems perfect, but underneath it all Julian is still haunted by the ghosts of

his past. Ten years after that fateful spring, a call from a blackmailer claiming to know all of Julian’s secrets brings to life his worst nightmares. Panicked, he first speculates that it might be Hailey taking her revenge. He finds her and tries to buy her silence, but a painful meeting only reveals to him that things are not so simple.

Consecutive blackmailing calls, several mysterious traffic accidents and the police’s involvement all serve to convince him of his potential ruin. In frantic attempts to protect himself, Julian goes to more and more morally deprived lengths, until he reaches the brink of an abyss, beyond the point of no return.
