In retrospect, it always seems difficult to explain, and subsequently, to prove, an event that exists too much in isolation. The existence of such events - and the choices we make in each and every one of them - are full of mysteries. Having written and directed plays for ten years, I often rely too much on the structures of plays having a conflict, followed by a much anticipated climax and ending with a cathartic resolution. Thus, let me now simply present to you a “slice of life” on the plat e, in which the messy details and fuzzy ends are actually where the true meaning lies.

      I would like to thank the entire cast and crew of “27”, as well as the Board of Princeton Chinese Theatre for their unfaltering faith, passion and devotion.
