For more information on joining Brown, please email brwncoop@princeton.edu. Typically, we ask that you attend dinner at Brown at least once before you are added to the waitlist.
New rising junior members are selected by random lottery each spring. We typically maintain a composition of 15 juniors and 15 seniors. If prospective members decline to join, or if members leave or go abroad, then we proceed down the waitlist in a first-come manner.
Do I have to live in Brown Hall to be in the Brown Co-op?

What about breakfast and lunch?
You’ll have access to our fully stocked kitchen. You can make yourself a new meal or go for leftovers.
Can I snack on co-op food?
Yes. We are pro-snackers. You will find no better place to snack.
What kind of snacks do you have?
It varies, but we have fruits, various nuts, nutella, cookies and crackers, cereal, and of course you can always slice a tomato and put a little salt on it (yum). If we don’t have it we can get it (within reason, but aren’t all snacks so?).
How long does it take to make dinner?
About two hours. Cooking begins at 4:30pm; additionally, something is thawed overnight or during the day but that requires no supervision from the cooks. Dinner is served at 6:30, and clean-up usually lasts to 7:30.
How much are dues?
Dues are $500 a semester.
