Jackie Saccoccio received an M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1988) and a B.F.A. in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design (1985) where she has served as Visiting Critic in the Painting Department for the past several years.

She has exhibited her paintings, drawings and installations in venues including an upcoming solo exhibition  at Black & White Gallery, NY (2006), Galerie Michael Neff, Frankfurt (2003), Bowery Poetry Club (2003) and White Columns (1991).  In 2006 she completed a permanent wall drawing in collaboration with officedA, a Boston based  
architectural firm. Group exibitions  include  the American Academy in Rome, Rome, Italy (2005), Romanian Academy in Rome (2005), Galleria Biagiotti, Florence, Italy (2005), Oldenburger Kunstverein, Oldenburg, Germany (2003) and Barbara Gladstone Gallery, NY (2000).

Saccoccio was awarded the Harold M. English/ Jacob H. Lazarus-Metropolitan Museum of Art Fellowship in Visual Arts Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome in 2005. Other grants include a  
Guggenheim Foundation Grant (2000), a Fulbright grant to Italy (1990)  
and a residency at the Monet Foundation in Giverny, France( 2004) selected by Art Production Fund. Her work has been reviewed in Frankfurter Rundschau, The New Yorker, TimeOut, and The New York Times.
