Christine Jones has designed sets for The Green Bird on Broadway directed by Julie Taymor. Her work was nominated for Drama Desk and Outer Critic's Circle Awards when the show was originally staged at The New Victory Theatre. She has been designing Off-Broadway and across the country since graduating from New York University where she received her MFA. Highlights include: True Love by Charles Mee at the Zipper Theater in New York City, Nocturne by Adam Rapp at the New York Theater Workshop, Flesh and Blood, also at the New York Theater Workshop,The Importance of Being Earnest at the McCarter Theater in Princeton; Twelfth Night at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C., The Masterbuilder at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, and Mr. Peters' Connections by Arthur Miller at The Gutherie in Minneapolis. She has also designed costumes and a music video for Ben Folds Five. She recently spent time at The O'Neill Writers' Conference as an artist in residence working on Theater for One. Based on peep show booths and confessionals, Theater for One, is a space designed for one actor and one audience member. Jones has been working with writers and directing fifteen minute plays for this environment. Her awards include The J.S. Seidman and President's Award for Volunteerism from NYU, and the Theater Award from Concordia University in Montreal where she received her BFA.
