To contribute library, computer, teaching and management skills to a position that would best utilize my abilities, experience and interests and to continue to work and educate myself toward the goal of creating innovative integrations of technology in educational settings.

Self-Guided Studies

I  developed, and have been experimenting with, a computer-enhanced after-school enrichment program for over four years.  I consult regularly with teachers and a variety of other experts.  At Princeton University, I have learned a lot about computers and information retrieval tools as a result of my employment.  I've  taken advantage of numerous opportunities for professional growth through staff development courses and through committee work.

INDEPENDENT AND PERSONAL INVOLVEMENTS

Founder and instructor of The Learning Arcade, Inc. - an after-school and summer enrichment program that stresses creative, computer-enhanced activities for children in a relaxed and collaborative environment.  I provide instruction and support for children and teachers in the use of the computer as a learning tool -- Montgomery Community School, Montgomery Township, NJ, 1994-97;  All Day Learning Center, Belle Mead, NJ, 1997-Present;  Princeton Multicultural Camp, Summer 1998; Community Connection Peace Education Project, Princeton, NJ 1998-Present, I*EARN  Teddy Bear Project Participant, 1998.

PRINCETON UNIVERSITY EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Bibliographic Specialist 1991 - Present    Order Division / Firestone Library

Major responsibilities include performing bibliographic searches in preparation for the purchase and cataloging of library materials.  Other responsiblilities include processing gift books and  placing orders.  Additional work includes demonstrating electronic library resources at University Information Fairs, Service to the Library Education and Training Committee and to a Library Technical Services Computer Policy Advisory Task Force.

Special Collections Assistant 1986 - 1988   Psychology Library

Assisted patrons in finding library materials and in using various equipment. Other responsibilities included maintaining the serials collection, training students and managing the photocopier.

Other Princeton University Library Work included Library Office Assistant II and Shelver  1985-1986.

OTHER EMPLOYMENT

I worked as a Collections Manager for a courier service,  Assistant Manager at a French Cafe and as a Youth Counselor at a state institution for abused, abandoned, neglected and delinquent children.
