A letter from an alum about Teaching Hebrew in Egypt, Perspective, March 12, 2003

March 12, 2003

Your article on "The Meaning of Language" by Elizabeth Robertson Kennedy '95 beautifully illustrates the value of a Princeton education in helping people to see beyond the all-black, all-white perspective we Americans so often bring to our world views. She deserves the highest kind of commendation for her efforts to teach Hebrew to Arab Christians, a minority in almost all Middle Eastern countries.

Thanks to her example, our beloved Princeton motto should now be "Princeton in the world's service."
