If there ever were
doubts about the existence of activism at Princeton, this photo proves
that Princetonians could rally for a cause. On a warm spring night in
May 1949, these students staged a mass meeting to protest the administration’s
curb on eating-club parties. Can any PAW readers remember if their protest
was successful or identify any participants in the foreground?
