Train.. Run.. Support a Cause!
Race for Development is a campaign to raise funds for development projects in India. This year several volunteers and supporters of the Association for India's Development (AID) are training for challenging races in many chapters across the United States. The runners aim to increase public awareness about development issues in India and raise funds for some of the key projects funded by AID. AID Princeton's runners will be participating in the Jersey Shore Half Marathon on Oct 2, 2005 and in the Philadelphia Marathon on Nov. 20, 2005.

Congratulations to Team '05 runners for completing the Jersey Shore Half Marathon on October 2nd. Special congratulations to Sharad and Shantanu on successfully completing their training programs with this race. For the other runners, the race was a precursor to the Philadelphia Marathon. The runners battled heat and injury to record excellent race times between 1:49 and 2:02 hours in their maiden competitive run. Team Asha/AID stood out with the strength of the group, the bright yellow t-shirts and animated support at various points along the race.
