This is your section. This is where you, the OWL members, can let all your fellow readers know how and when they can support or join your activities. To list your group or special event, send a 100-word description to Hilary at hrubin@.

Voices

VOICES wants your help in creating this year’s editions of the campus’ only literary magazine for women. Anyone interested in editing, layout, business aspects, or just learning more about the magazine should contact Editor Lisa Tan (lisatan@).

And for all you writers, artists and photographers, the submission deadline for the fall issue is Friday, October 20.  You can send your work via email to Lisa or Liz Streiker (eks@), or you can place it in the envelopes for VOICES submissions that will be posted on bulletin boards in Frist, 185 Nassau, the residential colleges and eating clubs.  Late submissions will be accepted until after fall break.

Innovations

Innovations Magazine, the Princeton Journal of Science and Technology, invites any interested writers to put together an article concerning women in science. The article could be a biography, a book review, or another relevant article type.  Anyone interested please email Jared at jjensen@princeton.edu.

“The Ophelia Diaries”

Several members of OWL will be appearing in an original production of "The Ophelia Diaries: Ten Monologues for Young Girls" early next month.  The monologues were written by Jeny Schanbacher ‘03, and they deal with a wide range of topics, such as suicide, rape, and the difficulties of transitioning into womanhood.  Both the actors and the playwright stress that every young woman can relate to the monologues in some way, and believe that themes expressed in the production are closely linked to OWL’s core issues. They ask that you come out and support not just the participants but the cause as well.
