“The Ophelia Diaries”
Several
members of OWL will be appearing in an original production of "The
Ophelia Diaries: Ten Monologues for Young Girls" early next month. The monologues were written by Jeny Schanbacher ‘03, and they
deal with a wide range of topics, such as suicide, rape, and the
difficulties of transitioning into womanhood. Both the actors and the playwright stress that every young woman
can relate to the monologues in some way, and believe that themes
expressed in the production are closely linked to OWL’s core issues.
They ask that you come out and support not just the participants but the
cause as well.
