Bio

Michal Kolesár is a Professor of Economics at Princeton University. He is an econometrician who focuses on developing methods for causal inference.

Kolesár received a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard in 2013, and joined the Princeton faculty in 2014 after a postdoc at Yale University. He has served on the boards of American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Econometrica, Econometrics Journal, Journal of Econometrics, and Quantitative Economics. He currently serves as a co-editor of the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics. He has served as the chair of the Department of Economics' junior search committee for the past four years, and has been a member of the PhD admissions committee and the senior search committe.

He is a recipient of the 2019 Sloan Fellowship, two NSF grants, and is a fellow of the International Association for Applied Econometrics, and of the Slovak Economic Association.
