Crosshead Motion Control Buttons

This group of three buttons controls the position of the
Crosshead. The Hydraulic pump must be active, and the
pressure set to High before using these controls. Unclamp
the Crosshead by rotating the control knob in a counter-
clockwise direction. Make sure that the clamp ring on the
Load Frame column is positioned so as to permit the
desired motion of the crosshead. Use the Raise or Lower
control valves to reposition the crosshead.

Clamp the Crosshead by rotating the control knob in a clockwise direction. Reposition the clamp ring on the loadframe column to prevent downward motion of the crosshead in the event of a hydraulic failure. The system is now ready for use.

THE MACHINE MUST NOT BE RUN UNLESS THE CROSS-HEAD IS CLAMPED AND THE CLAMP RING IS IN PLACE
