Linus Pauling

Linus Pauling is the only man to win two unshared Nobel Prizes--in two unrelated category. Awarded the Prize in Chemistry in 1954, he also won the Peace Prize in 1962. Pauling made huge contributions to science in the 20th century, proposing structures for several different forms of proteins, based entirely on what he thought would be right. Later, experimental evidence confirmed his genius.
