2.2 Problem description

The finite element model to be created is a square plate 0.8m long by 1m wide and .012m thick. It has a circular hole of radius 0.141m at the centre of the plate. The material is steel. The plate is fixed at the left hand end and subjected to a uniform load of 123 N/m along the right hand edge.
