Selecting the appropriate driver

A device selection initialisation is added for the non MFC version. Therefore users do not need to interactively select the driver when accessing FEMGV 6 as this can be selected in advance either via the command line argument (i.e., -gdi, -motif, -opengl or -alpha) or in the resource file (femsys.ini) by selecting one of the following:



Femsys.*.GUI.DefaultGraphics : <driver>



where <driver> is one of Alpha, Motif, GDI or OpenGL



If none of the above are set then defaults are



For UNIX - OpenGL if available otherwise Motif

For Windows NT/95/98 - OpenGL



If a startup file is used and there is a device driver number, FEMGV will now ignore it.
