Translational Velocity

PROPERTY LOAD VEL [load_name] [loadcase_no] part_name/ALL args

Argument Meaning

load_name FEMGEN load name.

loadcase_no FEMGEN loadcase number.

part_name Any geometry containing nodes.

arg1 Global x-component of vector.

arg2 Global y-component of vector.

arg3 Global z-component of vector.

arg4 Point name1 (optional).

arg5 Point name2 (optional).

arg6 Global x-component of vector (optional).

arg7 Global y-component of vector (optional).

arg8 Global z-component of vector (optional).

Notes:

1.

The interface will simply apply the same velocity value to all nodes attached to the specified geometry ie. it will not divide the velocity value by the number of nodes.

2.

Arguments 4 to 8 are optional and may be used to specify a linear variation of velocity from point name1 to point name2.
