Welcome to Princeton Communications Reading Group.

This reading group is organized by graduate students in ISS, primarily working in the areas of Communications and Information Theory.  Every week, we read some section of a book or research papers, and have student presentations and discussions.

This reading group is intended primarily to enable students to learn and collaborate among themselves, and to provide a platform to interact with invited speakers and other research associates in an informal setting.

All Princeton University students/post-docs are welcome to participate.

I(Shannon;Miro) by Sergio Verdú

I(Shannon;Miro) uses Joan Miró's alphabet of shapes and color interplay to subtly evoke a common mathematical symbol used in Shannon's information theory called Mutual Information. It serves as a playful puzzle to challenge my information theorist friends. Painting: acrylic on canvas.
