Description/Objectives: The course is intended to
introduce the student to a variety of methods for doing social
science research, and to have students get actual experience with
research in: surveys, experiments, participant observation,
sampling procedures, content analysis, and basic statistical
analysis. Analysis and critique of existing studies is
undertaken. The main objective is to enable the student to carry
out social science research, and to critically evaluate research
studies.
