Description/Objectives: Offers broad overview. The
perspective is global; examines origins, general history, and
likely future of ethnic, racial, and nationality groups; types of
strategies used in intergroup competition (including
ethnocentrism, prejudice, discrimination, segregation, slavery,
genocide, coalition-formation), and their consequences for the
production and distribution of wealth, power, knowledge, and
honor in human society.
