Secular and para-liturgical musical traditions of the Spanish Jews.
I am Artistic Director of Voice of the Turtle, a quartet which has specialized in concerts and recordings of Sephardic music.  Our current project, PATHS OF EXILE (begun in 1988), has been developed for Quincentenary activites, focusing upon traditions preserved in Turkey, Morocco, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Rhodes. Our sixth recording recording is the first of the "Paths of Exile" series: "From the Shores of the Golden Horn"__ Turkish Sephardic traditions.
